A Lan party is where a network of cables and switches is provided for a Local
Area Network. Each participant brings their own computer, with an ethernet card
installed, and an ethernet cable. Everyone hooks their computers up to the network
and trades files/applications/games/music..etc. If you've ever played a multiplayer
game on your PC, then you may be interested in participating. The reason why
you would bring your entire computer to an event like this is so you can get
files easily and quickly that would otherwise be difficult to find, as well
as trade games and music at high speed.

What versions of the games
should I be running?
We
try to use the most up-to-date versions of games and mods. There will be a file
server at the lanparty serving the most recent updates for the most popular
new games. File server will also contain maps, mods, models, and some fansubbed
anime.
What game servers will be
running at the party?
This
really depends on what people want to play, and what is the most popular at
the time.
Will there be a connection
to the Internet at the lanparty?
No.
Come to the lan party with as much working hardware as possible there is no
way to get new video or NIC drivers once at the lanparty.
